PETALING JAYA, Jan 2 (MySinchew) -- DAP central committee member Ronnie Liew said he was very disappointed with prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's statement that the government needed to take into account the feelings of the Malays when considering the recognition of Unified Examination Certificate (UEC).

He said in his blog that UEC recognition was one of the pledges in Pakatan Harapan's election manifesto, and the government should not change its position and renege on its promise just because it needs to take into consideration the feelings of some people.

He insisted that Malaysians voted for PH because of its promises, and that these promises must be honored, including UEC recognition, or the voters would no longer trust PH.
