Johnson Lee fined RM18,000

BUTTERWORTH, Apr 12 (MySinchew) -- JJPTR founder Johnson Lee pleaded guilty today to a charge of falsifying documents, and was sentenced by the Sessions Court of Butterworth a fine of RM18,000 or five months imprisonment in lieu of unpaid fine.

He was charged on March 13 for submitting false details in his declaration when applying to strike off the name of JJ Global Networks Sdn Bhd, an offence under Section 364 (2) of the Companies Act 1965.

He then pleaded not guilty to the charge and was allowed a bail of RM6,000 with one surety.
