KOTA KINABALU, Dec 4 (MySinchew) -- Security forces at Eastern Sabah Security Zone shot dead an intruder believed to be a kidnapper from southern Philippines in the waters off Lahad Datu at 3.00 a.m. this morning.

Sabah police commissioner Datuk Ramli Din said a press conference would be held at Lahad Datu at 3.00 p.m. this afternoon.

However, he declined to comment further on this matter.
