KANGAR (Sin Chew Daily) -- 50-year-old Danny Leong has since the 1980s been registering the beauty of his home state Perlis with cameras, first the clumsy old machine and then the modern digital gadget.

For the past few years, Leong has uploaded his pictures of Perlis to his Facebook site to mesmerize viewers with the breathtaking beauty of this tiny state at the northern end of Peninsular Malaysia which many would tend to overlook.

To many a photography buff, Perlis still retains much of the old-world rustic charms: sunrise over the rice fields, fishing villages during noon, setting sun in the evening and starry sky after sundown.

Welcome to Perlis, the land of unimaginable endless surprises.
