SUNGAI LEMBING (Sin Chew Daily) -- The rustic town of Sungai Lermbing in Pahang conjures up the image of disused tin mines, verdant hills and rainbow waterfall, along with the famous local museum and a crystal house, while local hawker centers tempt the visitors with Lembing noodle, coconut cookie and tofu, among others.

A new attraction in town, T-Box Resort offers a choice of six different accommodation options such as colorful container rooms, gracious Japanese style quadruple and double rooms, a modern backpacker lodge, stylish hilltop chalets and traditional wooden cabins.

The resort provides a wide range of recreational facilities for its guests, including tandem bicycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), segways and bubble soccer where you can have a thrilling roll down the slope inside a giant bubble.

Another unique accommodation choice in Sungai Lembing is Time Capsule Retreat, where you can choose between a giant water pipe capsule or a container room.

Sungai Lembing also boasts two 3D galleries and the century-old tin mine tunnel.

Still retaining most of the fittings and equipment of bygone era, the tunnel used to be the deepest and longest tin mining tunnel in the world before it was closed in 1983.

It was reopened for tourists by the government in 2013.
